Self Venting Dryers
A ventless dryer collects the moisture that the drying process removes from the laundry. Only dry air is released from the dryer. Thus no vent is necessary. Some ventless dryers pump the collected water down the drain, others collect the water in a container in the dryer. The collected water needs to be removed from the dryer every few loads. Ventless dryers are very popular in Europe.
There are two brands (probably more) available locally. Bosch has a stackable washer and ventless dryer for about $2300 total and LG has a combination (one unit) washer, ventless dryer for about $1300. Discounts may be available. Best Buy and other stores carry these models.
